I wrote ten questionarries about my magazine for my target audience to answer. I did this so I could see how they felt my magazin; if they thought it looked professional, the good points and what could be improved etc.
My feedback was very positive, here is an example of what one member of my target audience thought;
What does the title suggest?
That it's an clubbing/dance music magazine.
What genre of music does the magazine focus on and how do you know this?
house, dance music. I know this from the words used, the colour scheme, the photograph, and because it mentions a lot of artists in this genre.
What makes the pages look professional and what stops them from looking professional?
the photogragh looks very professional, I like the background and how he is standing looks very genuine. Also the whole layout of the magazine looks real. However, the picture on the front page is a little blurry in some parts.
How genuine does the front cover seem?
it looks very genuine due to this titles and subtitles, also the barcode, price and website all add to it looking genuine.
Does the contents page simply inform or does it also manage to interest you in reading the rest of the magazine?
the contents informs me of what the magazine is about by the subtitles. However, it also invites you in because of the pictures and fonts, and the interesting subtitles makes you want to read on.
Does the article sound like a piece of journalism? If not what bits don’t sound right?
Yes it's really good and believeable. The DJ mikey sounds real and its like you get to know him through the interview.
Does the article layout make you want to read it? If not why?
Yes because the layout is easy to follow, its also on a white background and the black write contrast makes it easy to read. The title and the subtext also makes you want to read the interview because it makes this interview sounds like one you cant miss. The photograph is also very intriging.
From my audience feedback I can see my magazine has fulfilled it’s potential, and it suits my target audience. As results from my audience feedback show that 8/10 of my audience felt my magazine was genuine, and interesting.
